Who am I?

Nuclear physiscist and academic teacher (polish grade: ordinary professor) at the M. Smoluchowski Institute of Physics of The Faculty of Physics, Astronomy and Applied Informatics, Jagellonian Uniwersity. Graduated (MSc) in 1963, PhD in 1970, habilitation in 1977. I have spent 3 months in 1970 at the Joint Institute of Nuclear Research, Dubna (former Soviet Union) . From 1971-1973 I have spent two years as a postdoc at the ETH (Eidgenosische Technische Hochschule) in Zuerich, Switzerland. All together more than 6 years as visiting scientist at Geselleschaft für Schwerionenforschung, Darmstadt (Germany) . I spent 6 month as a guest professor at Universite XI de Paris Sud a Orsay .

Research interests

Heavy Ion physics and especially secondary radioactive beams. Fragmentation reactions, Coulomb break-up. Structure of neutron reach nuclei close to the neutron drip line. Exitation of giant dipole resonances, strength functions, structure of unbound nuclei. Structure and decay of one and two neutron halo nuclei. Heavy-ion induced reactions on atomic nuclei. LAND collaboration at GSI Darmstadt. You may also have a look on my recent scientific papers .
